Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It seems that hearts, flowers and cupids are plastered on every store front and starring in every commercial. But are you stumped for a unique something special for your someone special? This is supposed to be a holiday of fun, not stress (save that one for Christmas with the in-laws)! Simplicity can be bliss when it comes to thoughtful gifts. Why not plan a picnic or a candle-lit dinner (home cooked or carried out) on the back patio? Up your cool factor by going to World Market and constructing a six-pack of different exotic beers. Get old school and create a mixed CD ( or MP3 file) of his favorite songs or make him a handmade card, complete with glitter, stickers and that old standby “Roses are red, violets are blue...” Maybe even watch a little UFC with him (sans eye rolling) followed by a massage to work out all those armchair cage fighter stress knots. Whatever you do, remember to have fun and smile. After all, your affection and attention is the best gift you can give.
