Ike Took My Clothes

Many of our friends in Bridge City, Orange, Port Acres and the like lost all their clothing in the hurricane. Seeing that public nudity is against the law, we see it fit to collect clothing for distribution to the above areas.

Please drop off clothing in GOOD CONDITION to Belle Maman at 5955 Phelan Blvd. (at the corner of Phelan & Peyton in Beaumont). Belle Maman can be contacted at 409.860.7175.

Clothing needs:

• Something appropriate for a teacher (think Bridge City!)
• Something appropriate for office
• Something appropriate for weekends

Mid-County Kindness

If your house is all cleaned up or you were fortunate enough to dodge the Ike bullet, please consider helping Bridge City residents clean up. We are all in this boat together!

Individuals, organizations, churches and businesses are building teams to work from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 5 to help residents “turn the tide.” To sign up, call 962-4461 or email office@fbcgroves.org. You can also visit www.relief4ike.com for more volunteer opportunities.
