WISH YOU COULD RECYCLE IN BEAUMONT?

Local organizers want to send a message to City Council: "We are serious about recycling." If the green in you have long since longed for the return of a Beaumont recycling program, take note of this upcoming opportunity. Bring your recycleable items and let your voice be heard. *BEGINS 1st WEEK OF JUNE.*
What can I recycle?
First three items below MUST BE empty, clean & dry. All paper must be clean and dry.
- Aluminum including food containers
- Metal cans
- Rigid Plastic #1-7 caps removed. Primarily narrow neck containers; milk, water, detergent, shampoo, bleach bottles. This also includes yogurt and margarine tubs.
- Newspapers
- Cardboard boxes
- Magazines, catalogs
- Cereal boxes, soft drink boxes
- Paper: printer, copier, junk mail, telephone books
What cannot be recycled?
- Plastic bags
- Styrofoam (cups, egg cartons, take-out containers)
- Glass
Where do I take my recyclables?
Market Basket at 23rd and Phelan.
And heres something else
All your recyclables will go in one container, you don't have to separate!!!!
SO....
- Rinse your bottles and cans
- Toss ALL your recycling into one cart
- Drop them off
- AND...pass it on and encourage others to recycle
