Beaumont's New Outlook on Maternal Health

Whole Mothering Center is Beaumont’s newest organization for Southeast Texas mothers and their families. The mission of WMC is to promote a culture of informed women as healthcare consumers and to promote healthy families by fostering a community that educates, empowers and supports pregnant women, their growing families and the professionals who work with them. Among the current offerings are:

- “Boobs and Babies: Made For Each Other!”, a breastfeeding basics class series

- “Dispelling Birth Fear”, a discussion group featuring a screening of Ricki Lake’s documentary, “The Business of Being Born”, hosted seasonally

- “Body Awareness”, a class series for girls and young women

- SETXPlaygroup, our area’s ONLY free service of its type, great for meeting new local friends!

- Whole Mothering Kids Summer Club, a brand new summer activities club with TONS of new and exciting things for area kids this summer

- “Whole Mothering Café“, a free monthly discussion group featuring a guest speaker or topic discussion at Logon Café and Q&A session afterwards

- Doula services for expectant and new mothers

- WMC Maternal Arts Program to help preserve your mothering moments with meaningful poignancy
